Do you want to make every day a little better for our elderly with good and nutritious food?
As a chef at Edsberg Elderly Home, you are an important part of the operation.
You are responsible for ensuring that our residents receive well-prepared, safe, and tailored meals every day, with a focus on quality, care, and joy in food.
About the position
As a chef at Edsberg Elderly Home, you will work with two colleagues in the kitchen, preparing lunch and dinner daily for about 100 residents. Most of the food is prepared from scratch and tailored to the residents' needs.
Your role also includes preparing special diets and texture-modified diets. You are responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out according to current hygiene requirements and routines, including self-checks for the kitchen, dishwashing, and cleaning. Examples of tasks include:
- Preparation of lunch and dinner from scratch
- Preparation of special diets, allergy diets, and texture-modified diets
- Planning the work in the kitchen together with colleagues
- Self-checks according to food hygiene and HACCP
- Dishwashing, cleaning, and organization in the kitchen
Edsberg Elderly Home is located in nature-friendly Edsberg with 100 apartments distributed across 60 care places, 20 places for people with dementia, and 20 places for short-term and respite care. Edsberg is within walking distance from Edsbergscentrum.

About you
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
- Documented experience working as a chef in a large kitchen
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, for safety reasons
It is an advantage if you have experience cooking for the elderly as well as special diets, allergy diets, and texture-modified diets.
As a person, you are flexible, service-oriented, and structured. You have a professional approach, collaborate well, thrive in an environment with clear routines, and contribute to a positive work environment. You also have a good ability to work independently and take responsibility.
About the recruitment process

At the interview, you must be able to prove your right to work in Sweden through citizenship within the EU or EEA, or through a valid work permit.
